Samoans Stay Patriotic Despite Loss

Manu Samoa returned home to a warm welcome and despite the massive loss on Friday to the All Blacks. Samoans supporters greeted their players as true heroes.

The 78-nil bombardment did not stop patriotic Samoan supporters from acknowledging Manu Samoa’s bravery in going up against Rugby’s great, the All Blacks.

A huge crowd turned up at the Faleolo International Airport in Apia this morning to cheer their team.

Coach Namulauulu Alama was overwhelmed by the show of support and said the team will pick themselves up.

He added, they went out to Auckland to find their feet in the competition and that will now give them a place to start as they work towards performing better.

Reflecting on the match, Alama said, the loss was disappointing but they demonstrated that they can play well.

And all they need to do now is to get themselves together, and do well against Wales mid this week.
