Papua New Guinean Defender, Roland Bala has returned to the team from Wellington, New Zealand.
The left back, who missed out on the two matches against Tahiti through injury, is rearing to represent the country.
The left back who played a handful of matches throughout last season’s campaign, is now hoping to make a strong push for a berth in Flemming Serritslev’s first 11, as they embark on the road to Russia.
Now that he is fully recovered from the knee injury that saw him miss out in March, Bala says, the experience of playing in New Zealand with Oceania Powerhouse Wellington FC, has given him a valuable insight into football at a high level.
Bala however will face stiff competition from the likes of young defenders Clement Willis, and Philip Steven, the former, who impressed on debut.
Nonetheless, Bala is psyched at being back in the squad.
The announcement of the final squad to Honiara will be announced in the coming weeks.
