Several new roads are being built in Wabag to help people have access to basic government services in the District.
Wabag MP Dr. Lino Tom was in the district over the weekend to inspect the roads to ensure work is progressing well.
The member said these roads will help achieve the district’s five-year development plan, and it is key to any service delivery.
Vaccinations and other basic health services into rural areas were major challenges over the years, due to lack of roads connecting people living in the mountains and people have had to walk long hours to seek help at the main highway.
The district has so far built eight new roads linking villages that were cut off from basic services.
