The Prime Minister was campaigning for his Obura-Wonenara candidate, John Boito in Wiabo, urging the people to vote him in so that he can continue building the road from where it was left.
Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, said, “…roads are the key to economic development”.
He said the Government’s priority is that the rural population has access to roads for the delivery of services such as health and education.
O’Neill also pledged funding upon seeing classrooms and assured the people that materials would reach the school in the coming weeks.
While addressing the locals, he said much negativity has been levelled against his government but he urged the people to see that actions speak louder than words.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by his People’s National Congress party candidates which included, Eastern Highlands Governor, Julie Soso, Ungai-Benna MP, Benny Allan and Gumine MP, Nick Kuman.
The PNC team also visited Okapa on their campaign trail.
