Preparation for ‘Carols Under the Stars’ in full swing

By Patricia Keamo, EMTV Cadet Journalist – Port Moresby

Preparations for EMTV’s special ‘Carols Under The Stars’ live broadcast set for this Sunday, has seen members of EMTV’s Vocal Fusion program in full rehearsals since last week.

The special feature will see upcoming local artists who have auditioned and contested in EMTV’s Vocal Fusion, performing some of your favourite Christmas carols at the Sir John Guise Outdoor Stadium.

It is being billed as a ‘must not miss’ event for families in Port Moresby and will be featuring some of your nambawan station’s most recognisable personalities.

EMTV’s first ever ‘Carols Under the Stars’ program has given an opportunity for upcoming artists who have contested in Vocal Fusion to collaborate in singing Christmas Carols. The contestants from across several Vocal Fusion seasons have been practising on their staging and vocals with their musicians and sound engineers. Although their rehearsals have been pretty hectic, the team is excited and looking forward to sharing the Christmas spirit with the rest of the nation.

Some of the team will be singing solo, while others will do duets and trios on some of your favourite Christmas carols.

The Carols Under The Stars program is scheduled for this coming Sunday. The program will feature performances by Vocal Fusion artists, local choir groups, and there will also be a visit from Santa.

Tickets for the program are on sale at the EMTV office on the Second Floor of Garden City, Boroko; the program will also be broadcast live on EMTV.
