Only a week remains until the finals of the Port Moresby Women’s Softball Association.
Tournament official, Sue Tarasomo, says, the competition this year has seen far more participants than previous seasons, and is confident that the new facilities have helped raise the quality of competition.
The top four teams from both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Grade divisions, will battle it out next week for the 2017 title.
In the A Grade division, reigning champions united sisters are leading the pool, with last years runners up, Bears in second place, while Yokomo, Wantoks round off the final four.
In the B grade, Yokomo are in top spot, with the Mariners closely behind.
The finals series will see the best of women’s softball in Port Moresby, and plans are already underway for a youth tournament following that, with an annual corporate event soon after.
