PNG Ready to Face Solomon Islands in World Cup Qualifier

The PNG Men’s National Football Team, Flemming Serritslev, says the team is 100 percent ready to go when departing for the Solomon Islands.

He was speaking at the National Team’s final training session before leaving for Honiara, the coach says the team is ready to do the job.

After a long and gruelling two weeks in camp, the PNG Squad looked sharp, fit and ready to face the Solomon Islands, in their last official training session before departure.

While the absence of three of their overseas based players due to dual citizenship issues was notable, Flemming Serritslev believes he has the team ready to continue their qualifying campaign.

The team leaves tomorrow morning for Honiara, and Serritslev was quick to point out the assistance received from the high performance unit in Port Moresby, with none of his players facing any serious injuries or complaints.

Star striker Nigel Dabinyaba will miss out on the first leg against the Solomon Islands due to a yellow Card, although the side welcomes back David Browne, who looked sharp in training this afternoon.
