PNG Power To Light Up Pacific Games

PNG Power is ready to light up the 2015 Pacific Games. The state-owned enterprise today jumped on board as a platinum sponsor for next year’s Games.

Today marks 413 days to go as the countdown continues to the 2015 Pacific Games.

Venues are still the main concern for the day while the Games Organizing Committee is working around the clock to have Port Moresby in an ideal state of readiness to host the 15th Pacific Games.

Today, PNG Power Limited joined the fast-growing family of sponsors as the third state-owned enterprise to come on board to support the 2015 Games.

This essential support will contribute to illuminating the sporting venues, as well as aiding the live feeds which will be packaged and broadcasted throughout the Pacific and the world.

As the platinum sponsor for the Games, PPL will be responsible for installation of power supply to games venues including the Games Village, Sir John Guise indoor and outdoor stadium, Rita Flynn Netball Courts, Bisini Parade and the Taurama Aquatic Centre.

Given the high-tech nature of modern games, constant and effective power supply is non-negotiable. The value in kina, an enormous K6.5 million, will enable GOC to run the Games venues during Games time.

Minister Tkatchenko then flipped the switch with the assistance of Tura, the Kokomo.
