PNG Power’s Limited’s Easipay meter system was restored at midday today after it was unserviceable since Monday after encountering major technical faults.
As soon as a notice was made public by PNG Power Limited that the Easipay meter system was restored, they queued up at the office headquarters in to purchase their units.
The queue continued until 5pm this afternoon.
Meanwhile a test purchase was conducted at the PPL headquarters in Port Moresby.
Vending will also be opened at all PPL offices nationwide.
Easipay vending sites were also opened including mobile SMS service and hour after the announced 2pm open time .
This is to control traffic and to prevent overloading of the system and also another crash.
