Buka Ring Road enters Phase 3

The Bougainville Tenders Board, after their meeting this month, will announce the successful bidder for the phase three of the Buka Ring Road Upgrade and Sealing Project.

Secretary of the Technical Services Department of the Autonomous Bougainville Government, Bernard Tzilu, told EMTV News in Buka that recommendations were already made for the award of this contract.

“The Tender Evaluation Committee has met and submitted recommendations to the Bougainville Tenders Board. Under the tender’s law of the Autonomous Bougainville Government, these recommendations will then be deliberated and approved by the Bougainville Executive Council and the President.”

Mr Tzilu said that based on specifications, phase three of the Buka Ring Road Upgrade and Sealing will cost over K55 million.

It covers the first 20 of the 35 kilometers.

“The 20 kilometres will cover Hagus in the Halia Constituency to Pitono, Lemanmanu in the Haku Constituency,” he said.
