Provincial Administrators To Be Appointed For Several Provinces Within Next Few Months

The Public Service Minister has made a commitment to appoint, as a matter of priority, permanent provincial administrators for several provinces within the next few months.

Elias Kapavore, in responding to questions from Nawaeb MP, Kennedy Wenge, gave his assurance for the appointment process to be completed within the next few months, saying the process was being finalized.

The absence of a permanent provincial administrator for Morobe Province was raised in Parliament by Nawaeb MP, Kennedy Wenge.

In a series of questions to the Public Service Minister, Mr Wenge asked when the country’s largest province would expect a permanent appointment to be made to this position.

In response, Public Service Minister, Kennedy Wenge made it known that the process to appoint a permanent provincial administrator was underway, with an announcement once all the necessary processes were complete.

Furthermore, Minister Kapavore also revealed that permanent appointments for the position of provincial administrators for several other provinces were also being completed.
