The first week of the Telstra Premiership will see four matches played this weekend.
The top eight who will battle will be the Storms, Roosters, Broncos, Eels, Sharks, Sea Eagles, Panthers and Cowboys.
Sydney Roosters will face the Brisbane Broncos tomorrow in the opener match of the finals qualifiers.
The winner of this match will have a much-needed week’s rest while the loser will have a second go in week two of the finals.
Though for the Broncos, being the second most powerful team of the season, does not keep them safe from the Roosters, now that they have reshuffled key positions.
Due to a hamstring injury, skipper Darius Boyd has been replaced at fullback by Kodi Nikorima whose place in the halves is set to be filled by veteran Benji Marshall.
Saturday’s match is expected to be heated as the Parramatta Eels take on competition leader Melbourne Storms.
With Semi Radradra doing wonders for the Eels in the last three rounds, Michael Jennings and Corey Norman’s touch only gives them added heat in their attacks.
But the Storms have maintained their strangle-hold on the top spot throughout the season, and they will not lose easily in this match.
Penrith Panthers will take on Manly Sea Eagles while Sunday’s match will see defending premiers Cronulla Sharks battle with 2015 premiers the North Queensland Cowboys.
