NORTH FLY DISTRICT TO CONDUCT EVICTION EXERCISE

By Jim John

A massive eviction exercise will be conducted in Tabubil starting this week, says North Fly MP James Donald. Following the fights in Tabubil recently, the law enforcement authorities in North Fly Command, Western Province have already been instructed to evict the people starting with Tabubil, Ningerum and Kiunga.

Member James Donald said Law and Order problems in his district has been affecting the lives of innocent people, therefore, those involved will be  moved back to their home provinces.

The North Fly DDA in its Special Law and Order Crisis meeting held on December 5th, 2023, mentioned that the district authorities, community leaders and police will be working together to conduct the eviction exercise.

“Our place Western is peaceful. We don’t practice such fights and killing. Those who have caused problems must come forward and go home as you have not respected your fellow citizens.” said Donald.

The people of Western particularly North Fly are advised not to conceal trouble makers in the community and must report to authorities who will facilitate the necessary travel arrangements for repatriation.

MP Donald said also, “If you want to stay in Western Province, obey the laws and rules governing the community. Fights are not good. We all must maintain peace as Western Province is not a fighting zone.”
