New Ireland 2021 Budget

New Ireland Provincial Chairperson of Finance Misbil Nelson has presented the 2021 appropriation budget at the Provincial Assembly in Kavieng recently.

A total appropriation budget bill of 220million kina outlining sectors in social, economic, administration, finance, and planning.

Of that K38.76 million will be spent in the Social Sector, K6.5million for the Economic Sector, K116million on Infrastructure, K8million on Administration, and K3million on Other Development Expenditure.

That is a total of K174million being spent on Development Activities, while K46million is being spent on Recurrent Costs.

The budget highlights priority developments in roads, bridges and jetties for 2021

47 per cent of the 2021 New Ireland Provincial budget will be funded by the National Government.
