The year 2023 bid farewell with an exhilarating showdown at the National Capital District Cup grand finals, where Bara Fox Cliff Hangers triumphed over M3 Bulldogs with a smashing score of 18 to 8, securing the prestigious governor’s cup.

In the Women’s division, the PCL Venoms celebrated a stunning 12 to nil victory, claiming the Cup against the Morata Bullets.

Prior to the official kick-off, NCD Governor Powes Pakop expressed gratitude to all participants for their successful engagement in the competition. He hailed this achievement as a significant milestone for NCD in the year’s sports accomplishments.

The men’s cup finals saw the champions walk away with a prize of K30, 000, while the runner-up secured K20,000. For the plate category, the winners received K15, 000, and the runners-up earned K10, 000. Bowl winners and runners-up received K8000 and K7000 respectively. In the pennant category, the winners garnered K5000, with the runners-up taking home K3000.

In the women’s division, the cup champions took home K6000, and the runners-up received K4000. For the plate category, the winners secured K3000, while the runners-up earned K2000. Bowl winners and runners-up received K1500 and K1000 respectively.

This wrapped up the thrilling 2023 NCDC Governor’s Cup, crowning the Cliff Hangers as the ultimate champions.
