PNG National Party Leader and sitting MP for Sinasina Yongomugl, Kerenga Kua, has nominated in front of thousands in his district.
Kua says he will be a contender for the Prime Minister’s seat.
He also called for a free and fair election as violence stirs in other provinces of the Highlands region. “We must be an example to other places and be responsible in our actions during campaign, polling and counting”, said Kua.
After his nomination, Kua spoke highly of contesting with much hype to counteract and address issues of national importance.
Kua said not much hope can be given to the people as PNG experiences an uphill economic battle. But he says, only the people will see for themselves and elect their next leaders.
Kua’s nomination coincides with the official campaign of intending candidates running under the PNG National Party banner.
The PNG National Party will be in the Momase Region this week for their first regional campaigns, beginning in East Sepik province.
