The lack of implementation on the Bougainville Peace Agreement has prompted, Bougainville’s President, John Momis to call on the United Nations, to set up an office in the Autonomous region.
Chief Momis said the National Government failed to fully honour the Bougainville Peace Agreement and that now only a higher authority like the United Nations must oversee its implementation.
Momis delivered the keynote address at the 12th Anniversary celebrations, marking the establishment of the Autonomous Bougainville Government in Buka today (16/06/17).
