Two months out of the commencement of the 11th ICC Cricket World Cup, EM TV has signed a licence agreement for media rights to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 with Worldwide Wickets Mauritius (WWM).
The signing of the license agreement permits Media Niugini Limited to broadcast highlights of each of the 49 matches, and live broadcast the semi-final and final cricket match, to be staged at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday, 29 March 2015.
The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015.
The games will be staged across 14 cities in both Australia and New Zealand.
In the lead-up to the World Cup, 200 test cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been announced as the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Ambassador.
Tendulkar has played 463 one-day international matches and one Twenty20 International match in his 24-year cricket career.
Prior to the ICC Cricket World Cup, a number of warm up matches will be played throughout the month of January.
At present, South Africa holds first place in the ICC Test Ranking, with a rating of 124, while Australia and England trail behind in second and third place.
