Lihir Primary School Enjoys BSP Funded Renovation

As the major sponsor of the 2015 Pacific Games and as part of their Community Service Initiative Program, the staff of the BSP Branch in Lihir took time out of their busy schedule to renovate the Basketball courts at the Lihir Secondary School.

Basketball fans on Lihir in New Ireland can now be rest assured that the next generation of players have somewhere to improve their skills, courtesy of Bank South Pacific (BSP).

Branch Manager Kalat Tiriman, on behalf of her staff, handed over the courts to School Principle Willie Moab. An overwhelmed Mr. Moab wasted no time and joined with the students in a basketball match.

He also thanked BSP for assisting the school to promote both healthy living and physical development programs which are all a part of living a healthy lifestyle.

This community project is one of 37 which will be delivered in 2014 throughout the country in the areas of education, health, environment and sports.
