Kairuku-Hiri MP, Peter Isoaimo said the manner which the lands department is behaving and secretly acquiring land to individuals is unacceptable.
Isoaimo said there must be some decency of at least common courtesy and dialogue.
The question was directed to the Lands Minister on the Papalealea land outside of Port Moresby.
While welcoming development in Kairuku-Hiri, the local MP believes proper processes should be followed.
Isoaimo said the Kairuku-Hiri District Development Authority sould be consulted.
The Lands Minister Justin Tkatchenko, in response has requested appropriate documents be forwarded to his office.
Meanwhile questions were also raised on the issues of the Central Provincial Government’s Lands Board.
