NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, today pledged K20, 000 to the Inter Denominational Youth for NCD in support of their Inter Wave Walk Program. Through the Active City Program, the pledge was made after the Inter Wave Walk program was seen to have promoted good and positive work of the Commission.
The Interdenominational Youth for NCD hopes to unite youths from all denominations to find a common ground to share the gospel. Established in 2014, the Inter Youth Wave Organisation has up to 8,000 members made up of youths of all denominations. Its purpose is to unite and find a common ground in praising God.
Last Weekend, NCD Governor, Powes Parkop, extended an invite to join in their Wave Walk. Apart from holding gospel rallies, the group normally does walks led by youths with the tag line Wave Walk. Governor’s Office, in its endeavours in making Port Moresby the best city in the Pacific through the Active City Program, was impressed with the group’s activities.
Chairman of Inter Youth Wave, Thomas Hola, said they had not requested for any sponsorship but the governor saw fit for the group to receive support through the commission’s Active City Program.
