The increased number of voters in the Community Government Election of the Autonomous Bougainville Government may be attributed to the awareness that has been channelled through the mobile SMS platform.
Assistant Returning Officer of the Peit Constituency, Moses Dokasairs, believes the increased number of voters in the polling sites is a result of this platform being used to inform people about the election and its importance.
He thanked the Bougainville Electoral Commission for being smart and using this platform that reaches most of the mobile users from 18 years old and above to show up at polling sites.
