HUSBAND MURDERED

A 29 year old man from Enga Province James Talin Jr was allegedly murdered by his wife on Saturday afternoon at Gerehu in the Nation’s Capital.

Families of the deceased are uncertain of the major cause for the arguments that that prompted for this Act, however, they have remain steadfast and awaits justice to take its full course.

This unfortunate situation has left the close relatives of the deceased disheartened but all they want for their brother, father and son is justice to take its full course.

The deceased cousin Gordon Kevin Neap said “We are putting everything back to the hands of the law, regardless of the existing customs and traditions to resort such issues, we want justice and we don’t want any form of customary arrangement to solve this issue”.

Echoing the same sentiment the first born sister of the deceased said “ I don’t want any associated problems, I want the law to deal with  the perpetrator involved, as for my family we will sit and mourn and wait for the authority to handle the situation”.

According to the relatives of the deceased the incident happened yesterday afternoon at Rainbow in the in Port Moresby where the wife was alleged slit the husband’s throat using a knife. The deceased was rushed to the Gerehu Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival due to excessive blood loss.

The accused wife is a final year law student at the University of Papua New Guinea and is currently behind bars at the Boroko Police Custody awaiting further investigations.

The relatives of the deceased say they are yet to confirm what arguments the couples encountered that prompted for this unfortunate situation.

Speaking on behalf of the Family Gordon Kevin Neap slams all the social media posts and clarified that they have yet to receive full and factual story of what has transpired, however the matter is now before the police and they will provide an update once the matter is solved via investigation.

“A lot of talks on social media that went viral some were negative and some are negative, whatever happens on social media were unconfirmed regarding the motive behind the killing” said Mr. Kevin.

The accused originate from the Mul Baiyer District of Western Highlands Province. She was married to the deceased for 8 years with a 2 year old son.
