Hunters Prepares To Meet Devils

The SP PNG Hunters have named an extended squad of 20 players to meet the North’s Devils in round 12 of the Intrust Super Cup campaign this weekend at Bishop Park, Queensland.

Devils will be looking to bounce back after their 36-22 loss to Redcliffe last weekend.

The Hunters are currently in third spot after beating the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in their round 11 match, played at Kalabond last weekend.

Devils, a point short and trailing behind Hunters, will be looking to bounce back this weekend after their loss to Redcliffe last weekend.

The Hunters, buoyed by an impressive ‘backs to the wall’ win against the Seagulls, welcome back some key players, giving coach Michael Marum a selection headache for the match.

Captain Israel Eliab will not take the field, after recovering from the measles, while prop Joe Bruno will be monitored and assessed this week by the club’s medical staff, after suffering concussion in the last weekends win.

Hard running prop Timothy Lomai, Willie Minoga and Dion Aye are back in the lineup. Coach Michael Marum will test the fitness of the players before finalizing his 18 man squad for Sunday’s match.

The match will be telecasted at 7pm, right here on EMTV.
