Hebou PNG Barramundis Level One Day International Win

After the 82 runs loss to the United Arab Emirates in the first One Day international of the World Cricket League Championship round 5 last Friday the Hebou PNG Barramundis redeemed themselves yesterday.

Their 26 runs win comes as an equalizer, bringing their round 5 results to 1 all.

The PNG side made their comeback yesterday with a 26 runs victory.

This time batting first, the Barras collected half a century through Vani Vagi Morea, as well as accumulative runs from Lega Siaka and Tony Ura that saw them off to the win.

Though, Tony Ura was at the receiving end of a run out bowl, in just the 6th inning.

They were all out for 232 runs by the 47th over.

In the second inning, the United Arab Emirates’ chase saw them losing their top order early on, through Assad Vala’s bowling handy off-spins.

By the time UAE’s middle order collapsed, they were just at 7/161 in 38.3 overs.

Recovery efforts went to no avail as they were all out at 206 runs in 47.4 overs.

With 1 win each, tomorrow’s ODI match, though it’s not a World Cricket League Championship match, will see both teams vie one more time in 50 overs to prove superiority.

The Inter-Continental Cup T/20 matches against UAE will start next Monday.
