HEAVY RAIN AND FLOOD WARNING
Papua New Guinea National Weather Service has just issued heavy rain and flood warning.
Highlighting that Tropical Cyclone Narelle is 500 km south-west of Sudest Island in Milne Bay Province, moving over the Coral Sea. It may bring strong to very strong winds and periods of heavy rain to areas near the system.
According to PNGWS, a trough line extends from the southern PNG–Indonesia border through the Torres Strait into the Coral Sea and connects to cyclone Narelle near Sudest Island, then stretches toward the Solomon Islands and the Pacific Ocean. This may cause stronger winds, especially in the evening, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, scattered showers, and possible thunderstorms.
