The Gold Nuggets School Kriket in NCD completed its second week of hard ball inter-school cricket with some entertaining cricket from both Divisions.
Four international schools in the Nations Capital took part in the competition by taking part in the U12 and U14 divisions.
The first round of the Gold Nugget School Kriket program, seeing three international schools take part in the tournament. Hosts, Ela Murray, who challenged Koroboro, Gordon’s and POM Grammar.
The U14 Boys division saw hosts and favorite, Ela Murray trounced by POM Grammar in a one sided affair.
In the u12 division, Gordon’s international continued their winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Koroboro Primary School. Gordon’s battled first and posted a healthy 4/46, and in reply, Koroboro only managed 7/38 of their allotted overs.
In the match, Ela Murray claimed their first victory with an 18 run victory over POM Grammar. Ela Murray posted 4/55 by top scoring 17. While POM Grammar posted 4/45 of their allotted overs, with Ela Murray picking up tidy figures of 2/4 of two overs.
Next week will be a double header where Gordon’s International will play against POM Grammar in the U14 division; and in the U12 division, Gordon’s International will play with POM Grammar ,and Koroboro will play against Ela Murray International
