The 2019 Pacific Games looks bleak at the moment, with Tonga’s withdrawal from hosting duties due to financial constraints.
Fiji on the other hand, initially put its hands up to take on the games, but according to reports by INSIDE THE GAMES last Thursday, the Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) President Joseph Rodan revealed that they are not ready to bid for host.
This follows a series of consultations with their government, in which they did not exactly state the reason for their reluctance to bid as well.
President Rodan said, Fiji has all the facilities to host but are taking a step back to give other Pacific Countries a chance to bid.
After hosting the 2015 edition, PNG has made it clear; they will not bid to host the 2019 Games.
