ENB School Leavers Offered Scholarships

An international and private organization – Alliance In Motion Global; is assisting school leavers of East New Britain Province, to further their studies in the Philippines.

The scholarship is offered under the organization’s education program that gives a second chance to students, who haven’t secured spaces, in tertiary institutions.

It aims to build the human resources of the province.

Alliance in Motion Global is a networking company in the Philippines.

Branched here in East New Britain, that focuses to improve the education and health.

Building the Human resources of Papua New Guinea is one key masterplan of the organization, says Aim Global – PNG Managing Director Dorothy Laku.

Fifty one pioneer graduate school leavers from the four districts of East New Britain: Gazelle, Pomio, Kokopo and Rabaul. will resume studies in June in Phillipines.

They’ll undertake Diploma courses in Business Administration, Computer Programming and Information Technology.

In this world of technology, business informatics is in demand in the workforce, explains PNG Managing Director of Aim Global.

East New Britain being a Tourism Hub Province of Papua New Guinea, students have their dreams and ambitions, contributions to development.

Provincial Education Head thanked Aim PNG for taking the lead in ENB assets.

He says the Provincial Government has recognized the program and will assist in any way possible.

The number of graduate school leavers who haven’t secured a place in tertiary institutions in PNG continues to increase every year.

Now this is an issue that the government must seriously address

The education system continues to become a focal point of discussion amongst many others, that forces most of the school leavers back home.

While many others try their best to pursue their education, the government must come out clear; whether to build more tertiary institutions to cater for the loss.
