Employment Contracts Signed by Governor General

A total of eight employment contracts were signed today by Papua New Guinea’s Governor General, Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae, together with the Acting Secretary for Department of Personnel Management and respective contract recipients.

The contracts were signed after legal clearance was given by the office of the State Solicitor. Secretary for Justice and Attorney General, Dr Eric Kwa, was the first to sign his contract for a period of five years.

Among those who signed the contracts were National Gaming Control Board CEO, Imelda Agon and Chief Commissioner of PNG Customs, Ray Paul whose employment contracts are for a period of five years.

Three out of eight employment contracts certified today were Provincial Administrators who signed contracts for a period of four years. The provincial administrators are from Simbu, New Ireland and Eastern Highlands Provinces.

The appointment of the department heads by the National Executive Council has been gazetted in the National Gazette.
