The political leaders of the Eastern Highlands provincial government recently made a first of its kind visit to the K92 Mine.
The visit was to provide a dialogue between the Eastern Highlands Provincial Executive Council members and MPs on the insights and the developments, achievements and challenges of the mine.
K92 Chief Executive Officer John Lewis and the mine staff hosted the visit and provided a tour for the leaders.
Some of the key issues discussed during the meet includes the outstanding K92 Mine Landowners issue, the Konkua Road Project, security issues, production and mine development since establishment, spin-off benefits, employment and training opportunities for locals, Mining Act laws, and the increase in gold prospects of the mine.

The visit was very insightful to provided the local government officials with knowledge on how to work closely with the mine to ensure a mutually beneficial situation for all parties involved, landowners who stand benefit from the mine.
