DPM MARKS WORLD SIGHT DAY WITH STAFF EYE HEALTH INITIATIVE
Department of Personnel Management (DPM) has prioritized staff health and wellness by participating in a free eye check-up initiative, conducted by Callan Services National Unit (CSNU), to commemorate World Sight Day.
Secretary for the Department of Personnel Management Taies Sansan said,
She said the 2025 theme, “everyone counts,” underscores that good vision is fundamental to improving education, employment, and overall quality of life.
The exercise saw DPM officers actively participate in vision screenings and an awareness session aimed at highlighting the critical importance of eye health and regular vision screening. World Sight Day, an annual global event, draws attention to preventable blindness and vision impairment.
CSNU’s timely awareness drive serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for continuous outreach programs to ensure more Papua New Guineans have access to vital, preventive eye health services.
