The Department of Higher Education, Research Science & Technology is in discussion with universities and other higher education institutions that have increased their fees for the 2018 academic year.
Minister responsible, Pila Niningi, has instructed his department to find out if the increases are justified.
DHERST Secretary, Professor Fr Jan Czuba, says not all universities are increasing their fees next year.
Fr Czuba added that he will be in discussion with schools to see if the increase in fees is valid as some institutions may be increasing fees to meet the school’s needs.
