Credit Corp Supports Sparrows Netball Club

The Sparrows Netball team has had many successes over the years with the most recent, winning back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.

The club has a robust junior development program which they have invested in over the past 8 years and the club have also produced many players who have gone on to represent PNG in the International arena:

“In recent years, the likes of Kilala Own, Courtney Abel, Nerrie Adula and Margaret Eka, the club has also contributed to the PNG Mixed and Mens National Netball team (Maleos) including Joyce Nao, Dianne Lahari, Emily Anderson and myself as the coach.”

Yesterday, Credit Corporation presented a cheque of K25, 000 to the club.

Sparrows club president Lawrence Lahari, says they will be focusing on developing and strengthening its junior’s and upskilling coaches and umpires.

For the last two years, Credit Corps support has covered expenses such as uniforms, travel expenses and court fees.
