Cricket PNG has announced the appointment of Tim Nielsen as the new High-Performance Manager and Barramundis Coach. Tim will work with Cricket PNG throughout the year focusing on key events and training phases.
With a wealth of experience in coaching and performance management, Tim has worked with various elite teams and athletes throughout his distinguished career.
His expertise in fostering high-performance environments and his leadership style make him an ideal fit for these roles.
Tim’s appointment marks a significant milestone for our organization as we continue to strive for excellence in our teams’ performance and development.
His vast experience and leadership skills will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of the Barramundis and our other National teams, ensuring they continue to evolve, build resilience, and achieve their full potential globally.

Tim’s first visit to PNG will be from the 2nd to 14th of April to coincide with the Isuzu Men’s T20 Smash which gets underway this coming Friday, 4th April, at Amini Park. The visit will enable him to meet our National coaches and players and take the first steps to review Cricket PNG’s high-performance setup.
Cricket PNG is excited to embark on this new journey under Tim Nielsen’s watchful eye.
