Corpse Found at Treasury Department

A dead body was discovered at the Treasury Building yesterday in Port Moresby.

At around 10am, the Treasury Department was closed down and staff asked to leave the building as authorities arrived to retrieve the corpse.

It is believed the body had been there for a couple of days.

The Police, Fire Department and St Johns were on site at the Treasury Department however, due to the condition of the body, it took 3 hours to retrieve.

At around 4pm, the ambulance was seen leaving the building with police escort.

The body is yet to be identified however, family members of a missing IBS student, who was last seen in Lamana over the weekend, were also on site, hoping to identify the body.
