After the successful staging of the Korean Cup in Port Moresby last month, team Central have named their athletes for the PNG Games in November.
Current national representative Anton Aitsi has also been named as the men’s coach for the team.
A total of 15 athletes have been named for Team Central’s Taekwondo/Tang Soo Do squad for the 2014 PNG Games to be held in Lae in November.
The Korean Ambassador’s Cup staged in Port Moresby last month, saw an outstanding display of talent from the Clubs.
A total of 9 athletes from the Socay Mixed Martial Arts Club have been named in the squad.
Among the men named are, 58 Kg Silver Medallist from the Korean Ambassadors Cup, Dennis Willie, Bronze Medallist in the 74 Kg, Rex Roko, and Joe Oa in the 80 Kg category.
And sisters, Carolyn and Faustina Aisi, taking out the Silver and Bronze Medals respectively in the 67 Kg division at the Korean cup, have also been named in the 58 and 65 Kg category.
Silver Medallist in the 68 Kg from the Korean Cup and current national athletes Anton Aitsi and Theresa Tona, have also been named to coach the men’s and women’s side respectively.
