The 2019 Papua New Guinea Business Regulators’ Summit got underway at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby this morning.
The summit, which will be held for two days, has brought together industry regulators from across various sectors of business, through the theme “Efficient Regulations; Productive Economy”.
Among discussions expected at this event are panel sessions on Business Best Practices, Domestic Reforms, Starting Business, Access to Credit, and Strengthening the Domestic Market.
When addressing the summit, Deputy Prime Minister, Davis Steven said, “Government is embarking on changes to key legislation to promote more efficient trade.”
“Among these, legislative changes to taxation and resource laws.” said Steven.
The PNG Business Regulators Summit is hosted by the PNG Investment Promotion Authority.
