The merger is being done to stop the deteriorating financial position of the companies. It’s being done to build a more competitive, more service-oriented, and viable company.
With the public announcement of the merger, the Communication Workers Unions have been concerned that members will lose their jobs and entitlements. According to Johnson, this is far from the truth. He states in the exclusive interview that the merger is designed to protect jobs and that Entitlements are safe and secure.
