The APEC PNG Coordination Authority held a briefing for foreign missions in the country, resident and non-resident, about preparations for the upcoming APEC 2018 Leaders Week. The briefing addressed important concerns such as accommodation, transportation and security for the delegates from the 21 APEC economies during the week.
According to the APEC PNG coordination authority, accommodation in the most challenging aspect as Port Moresby understandably lacks the hotel space however arrangements are underway to remedy this.
Also on this episode, the World Bank launched two new reports last week about enhancing the public health system efficiency and frontline service delivery in PNG.
The reports highlighted the limited resources available for the health sector and the gaps in health system functioning and show evidence that the country’s frontline service delivery needs to be improved.
