by Eric Haurupma – EM TV, Port Moresby

Post PNG issued stamps of Bank of PNG Governors to educate people in the country about their functions and responsibilities.

Bank of PNG’s stamps will now be available at Post PNG outlets nationwide for customers. Not many people know the governors of BPNG and the bank’s functions.

Governor of Bank of PNG, Loi Bakani said stamps provide an opportunity for the 7.5 million people of this country, especially those in rural areas to better understand BPNG and those who have been at the helm.

“The stamps also drive awareness to the people of this country that BPNG fundamentally contributes to the development of PNG economically,” he said.

It is an independent body that regulates the functions of other financial institutions in the country. With PNG’s growth, the banks maintain a crucial balance during turbulent times in political crises.
BPNG’stamps will be available now in Post PNG in Port Moresby and its other outlets nationwide.
