A leading piggery on the outskirts of Port Moresby this week opened a new abattoir, aimed at improving the quality of pork to its consumers.
The state-of-the-art facility, at Boroma Piggery Limited’s 14 Mile operations, will be in full operation within the next week.
The piggery currently supplies pork to all major supermarkets in Port Moresby.
For Boroma Piggery Limited, being in the piggery business has been an interesting journey, with the facility continuously striving to keep up with demand for quality pork from its customers, predominantly made up the major food retailers in Port Moresby.
This week, Boroma unveiled its newest addition, a state-of-the-art abattoir.
This facility, built at a cost of close to K2 million has been designed with the aim of keeping up with world best health and hygiene standards.
