Customers in Lae, Morobe province have discovered counterfeit Coca Cola products with the PNG Made logo on the labels.
The counterfeit drinks which were sold at a store at Lae’s Boundary Road look identical to the genuine 500 mills Coca Cola bottles which are also manufactured in Lae
These counterfeit drinks were displayed in the same chiller as other Coca Cola products like the Two Minute Pulp Orange juice.
This discovery comes two weeks after, the PNG Manufacturing Council raised concerns on the increase in counterfeit products entering Papua New Guinea, especially from Asian countries.
