Lamana Cup Pool Tournament 2014 Ends

Snooker is ordinarily played in bars, clubs and occasionally the tuckerbox down the road.  Like Snooker, Pocket Billiards or commonly known as Pool, is played with a total of 16 balls, a cue ball and 15 object balls, and on a pool table with 6 pockets built into the rails of the table.

The Lamana Cup Pool Tournament 2014 ended its knock-out rounds over the weekend. Far from being your average casual competition in a smoke-filled, dimly lit room, this annual tournament has attracted a lot of interest. But due to the level that the competition has grown to over the years, only 10 teams were able to register.

In a male dominated sport, only a handful of women have taken part and have surely given the guys a run for their money.

Tournament Director, Kilian Amini, was happy to see women take part in this year’s tournament and hopes that more women take part next year. He thanked Lamana Hotel for the use of their facilities and BSP for continuing their logistical support.
