NCSL and PIH To Enter Loan Scheme Partnership

by Vasinatta Yama – EM TV, Port Moresby

Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loan Society (NCSL) will now offer loans to its members to pay for medical expenses at Pacific International Hospital (PIH) in Port Moresby.

This also includes travelling costs and medical expenses overseas. It will be available from November 10, 2014.

According to NCSL Member Services and Branch Manager Richard Leka, the minimum loan that can be obtained is K200. The loan only applies to NCSL members who have been contributing for more than three months.

This is also part of the hospital’s mandate to provide services that are not available in PNG. Acting CEO of PIH, Dr Amyna Sultan was pleased with this assistance as it is one of their mandates in bringing affordable and quality service to PNG.

Apart from the loan scheme, Dr Amyna confirmed that PIH is undergoing major construction that will house PNG’s first ever catheter and MRI laboratory, along with a full-time cardiac team. It will be open in late January, 2015.

NCSL’s product service is under their value back offer. The offer usually allows its members access to discounted consumable products.

This is NCSL’s first ever value back offer in the Health Sector. It now diversifies its services.
