PNGOC Supports Tech Officials For PNG Games

Strengthening their partnership, the PNG Olympic Committee have committed K40,000 to the PNG Sport Foundation this week, to send 400 technical officials to officiate at the 6th BSP PNG Games in Lae.

The assistance is timely as an event of this magnitude requires a lot of funding and support.

It is also an opportunity to expose the technical officials to the level of competition in the respective sporting codes as well as give them a platform for development.

Any sporting codes would not be what they are without referees, time keepers and marshals, and to ensure that the PNG Games are delivered by the best. The PNG Olympic Committee have come on board to support the Sport Foundation with K40,000 to send 400 Technical Officials to Lae for the 6th BSP PNG Games.

The PNG Sport Foundation is embarking on fulfilling their strategic objective of achieving sporting excellence, equipping coaches, volunteers and administrators with necessary skills and training as well as using sports as a tool for development.
The foundation is grateful for the support that they have received from the PNG Olympic Committee.

The BSP PNG Games is seen as a platform for technical officials to increase their knowledge in the respective 28 sporting codes.

Thus it achieves the capacity building that the Sport Foundation has been aiming for.
