The Divine Word University (DWU) Alumni Madang Chapter has presented a K10,000 cheque to the university in support of its 30th Anniversary Festival of Legacy and Vision.
The cheque was presented yesterday and received on behalf of the university by DWU President, Professor Fr Philip Gibbs, who expressed appreciation for the continued support and commitment of the university’s alumni community.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of the Alumni Madang Chapter, Rex Elijah Sos said the contribution was an expression of the alumni’s gratitude to the university for the role it has played in shaping their lives and careers.
Mr Sos said the contribution was a way for former students to give back to the institution that had helped shape their personal and professional journeys.
He said although the contribution may appear small, the alumni were proud to support the university’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
The donation highlights the enduring relationship between Divine Word University and its graduates, with the alumni community continuing to support the university and its mission.
The K10,000 contribution will go towards the university’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, marking three decades of academic excellence, service and transformation.
