DAME KEKEDO ANNOUNCED AS DAME COMMANDER OF THE ORDER OF ST JOHN
The National St John Ambulance Council of Papua New Guinea has revealed the appointment of Dame Jean Kekedo as Dame Commander of the Order of St John in the Order’s Honours List.
This appointment was made by his majesty King Charles, recognising the exceptional service to humanity, mainly in the fields of health and emergency care.
Dame Jean Kekedo is known for her steadfast leadership and advocacy for quality emergency.
She assisted in strengthening the national ambulance service, through clinical governance and workforce development and held firm the mission of serving all people in times of sickness, distress, crisis, or danger without distinction of tribe, class, or creed.
The values of her leadership reflected service above self, integrity, and respect for everyone.
The National St. John Ambulance has grown under the leadership of Dame Jean Kekedo in their capability, presence, reach and community trust.
