WABAG-AMBUM ROAD LINK TO BE SEALED

The Aipinimanda-Wabag road link that connects the Ambum local level government of the Kompiam Ambum District into Wabag Town is expecting a facelift to give motorist an ease to and from.
The road was initially built by the Wabag District Development Authority in 2018 and is now set to get a facelift.
Project Engineer Robin Pawa Wak highlighted that the 7.2 kilometers road project is one of many major initiatives funded by Wabag District Development Authority under the leadership of Wabag Open member Dr. Lino Tom.
“So far, we’ve completed earthworks, clearing, grubbing, and graveling over 4.5 km from Wabag town to Aipinimanda village,” Wak said.
He added that drainage work and pavement preparation will proceed ahead of sealing where necessary preparations are currently progressing well.
Dr. Tom said that this road will connect middle Ambum Valley with Wabag town providing a much shorter and convenient route.
He confirmed that this road is one of the two road networks that will be thoroughly sealed in this term of Parliament.
“It is one of two roads we will seal in this term. Road Access is the key to Development. Under the Wabag District Rural Road Network Program. We’re constructing a few strategic road links,” he said.
More than 20,000 people of the Malapins, Yakans and Porelyiens from Ambum Valley in the Kompiam Ambum District who have been benefiting from the road will now travel at ease to and from to do their business.
