Inaugural National Agriculture Summit to be held in November

The private sector continues to be the main driver of the agriculture sector but there is more that can be done to improve the impact of agriculture to the people of Papua New Guinea.

With Agriculture a priority for the National Government, the Agriculture & Livestock Department has embarked on hosting the country’s inaugural Agriculture Summit.

This will take place from November 13th to 16th in Port Moresby.

With the theme ‘Unlocking the Economic Power of Agriculture to Sustainably Grow our economy’, the summit is an avenue to share ideas – but more importantly have the government hear what the private sector has to say about what government needs to do in order to support agriculture going forward.

Despite the Summit being three weeks away, already there has been immense support, with the Private sector showing their support in a big way – all major agriculture business will be present at this event.
